2026 CGSAV Sport Leaders Breakfast

Published Wed 11 Feb 2026

Yesterday morning 14 schools from the CGSAV congregated as an Association to have breakfast together.

Our emerging sport leaders were able to hear from Olympic Diver Anabelle Smith . Anabelle gave everyone in attendance an inspiring talk on her pathway to becoming an elite athlete, leadership development and the strength of self belief.

See below Anabells sporting background:
Anabelle represented Australia at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, where she won a bronze medal in the 10-metre synchronised platform alongside Cole. Competing with Stratton, she claimed a bronze medal in the 3-metre synchronised springboard at the 2011 World Aquatics Championships, recording a score of 306.90 points. The pair also finished second at the 2012 FINA Diving Grand Prix in Madrid, achieving a score of 293.58 points in the 3-metre synchronised springboard.

Anabelle qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and competed in the women’s 3-metre springboard, advancing to the semi-finals.

At the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, Smith and her partner Maddison Keeney won the gold medal in the 3-metre synchronised springboard with a score of 316.53 points, finishing just under 20 points ahead of silver medallists Ng Yan Yee and Nur Dhabitah Sabri of Malaysia.

Anabelle competed at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, where she placed fifth in the women’s 3-metre synchronised springboard alongside Maddison Keeney.
A big thank you to Anabelle for guest speaking, our fantastic student leaders for attending andMarian College for hosting and organising the event.

We would like to wish all of our students the best throughout 2026!
