CATHOLIC GIRLS SPORTS ASSOCIATION OF VICTORIA

2025 CGSAV Partner Schools Junior Netball

Published Tue 28 Oct 2025

The inaugural Partner Schools Junior Netball Program brought together schools from both the Catholic Girls’ Secondary Association of Victoria (CGSAV) and the Associated Catholic Colleges (ACC) for a day of competitive netball, teamwork, and community spirit at Parkville.

This new initiative was developed as an extension of the ACC Intermediate Competition held earlier in the year, aiming to strengthen collaboration between the two associations while providing students with an opportunity to engage in a friendly and inclusive sporting environment.

The day featured a series of round-robin matches, culminating in finals for the top two teams in each division. All games were played with great energy, respect, and sportsmanship, reflecting the shared values of both associations.

The event was supported by staff, coaches, and umpires from both networks, whose professionalism and commitment ensured the smooth running of the program. A special acknowledgment goes to Paul Fahey (Executive Officer, ACC) and Geordie Nagle (Operations Officer, ACC) for their contribution and partnership in helping bring this initiative to life.

The Partner Schools Junior Netball Program was a strong example of collaboration and community across associations — providing students with a positive sporting experience and paving the way for future shared programs between the CGSAV and ACC.
